I missed last weeks entry and very disappointed about it because I loved the colors on last week's Magazine Inspiration. I may have to just make one using its inspiration for myself. :)
This is the Magazine Inspiration cover for Week 24 from PaperCrafter's Corner:
I love this magazine cover...you have polka dots, red and black, large word and who doesn't love
Minnie?
I am continuing with my Christmas cards and red and white are perfect colors for that!
A snow man is no match for Minnie, but it is the perfect center for this card. My word is Joy instead of Love and by using Ruby Tinsel Embossing Powder from Recollections, it glitters but blends into the background, also. I think the paper, from Holiday Wonder by The Paper Studio, explains itself, it is a good replacement for white polka dots on red background. I wanted to represent the black polka dots in some way, so used a strip of black with white dots paper, Lost and Found from My Minds Eye, for that purpose. My Snowman is a wooden stamp set, Snow Business, from CTMH. The ink pads used to color him are: Ditto black and CTMH orange, grey wool, tulip, heavenly blue, pink carnation, and cocoa. I used a Versamark embossing pad for JOY. I also used a blending pen to color in the snowman and then cut him out with a Spellbinder Nestabilities Grand Label Four. The bling on his scarf and in place of coal are from Want2Scrap.
One more card done for Christmas....so many more to make!! :)
Such a cute card Stephanie! You have to love that snowman! And wow! what a fancy scarf he has on ... ADORABLE!! Good luck on the challenge!
