Folded Pages Decoration

Here is another altered book:

I bought a hardback book at a local resale shop.  The background paper that lines the front and back inside of the book is from my scrap drawer.  Flowers and leaves are from Arne's in Houston, the laces are gifts from my Mom...I come by this crafty gene honestly!! :)  The silver trim is actually a find at a garage sale!  The cameos on the end are from Jolee's Boutique that I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby.  I used a paper doily cut in two on the ends also.  The doily and the folded pages were darkened with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distressing ink.  The bracelet and green jewel are also finds at a garage sale and the cream pearl beads is from a roll of beaded strand from Hobby Lobby that I got on sale for 50% off.  The individual cream beads are from another necklace that I bought and cut up.  I just played with different elements that I had until I found what I wanted...my favorite part of crafting!

I used the following videos from youtube to give me direction in this project.  I am thinking of this as a beautiful desk decor that is very useful or decorations for a large party, be it a wedding party or some type of themed party...I think the options are endless since you can use the pages to display a program, pictures, themed decorations, etc,

I am always grateful for such talented people willing to do tutorials and share their finished projects on youtube to inspire the rest of us!!  Thank you!!  And for those who stopped by, Thank you for visiting my blog...I really do like sharing what I have found and made!
